At one point self-care was not in my vocabulary. I had a unhealthy relationship with myself and food. I constantly judged myself and made up every reason not to like my body. My life and attitude changed when I became pregnant with my first born Lily. My thoughts were less about myself and all about her. I wanted health and beauty products that were safe to use during pregnancy. I soon discovered the natural products available weren’t for me so I started making my own products and looking back I didn’t even realize that I was creating #lovebyjadebeauty. I now realize that I was creating the products that would lead to me owning my own business but most importantly I began to respect my body and truly fall in-love with me. I have since strengthened myself spiritually, mentally and physically, valued loving relationships and kicked the toxic ones to the curb.
