Just a quick tutorial of how I shape my squoval nails. More details below 👇 1. I love using a glass nail file. I find It’s a lot quicker to file my nails with this rather than with an emery board. It also gives a smooth finish to the edge of the nail. 2. I like to file my nails in one direction rather than a back and forth motion. I’m not completely sure if it’s better for you, but since doing this, I’ve experienced a lot less peeling which is a win for me. 3. To make sure the nails are the shape you like, remove the shavings and repeat the filing on both sides as necessary. 4. There were not a ton of shavings on the underside of my nail in this video, but sometimes there are. I always found it a bit awkward to remove them, but holding the file perpendicular to the nail works the best to get rid of those.
