Saving JAVISTA Coffee shop ...
( opposite sunset sound recording studios )
I’ve been going to Javista coffee shop on Sunset Blvd for over 8 years. For those of you un familiar it serves the best coffee in town and is the only place in LA that makes coffee as good as you find in Australia ( those who have been will know what I mean ) they also make incredibly tasty (while healthy) sandwiches salads etc... a few days ago they had an unusual but crippling theft : Someone broke in and stole all the copper wiring of their electrical system ( worth $ 1000’s) . I bumped into the very charismatic owner the day after and he was in shock. He said “we will re wire and open up in 2 days time” . 2 days later I returned for my coffee and Baguette Fix , only to find the owner and staff once again in disbelief: They had been broken into again, this time equipment and the safe with cash had been stolen ( Police were on premises ). The crazy thing about this is that the land lord of the building wouldn’t allow them to run an electrical cable from his next door premises to help ( draw what you might from this ) The point being is they have to find a new building in the hollywood area to re-open . If anyone knows of a suitable building near where their current closed coffee shop is ( preferably near my house 😁) please let me know. The owner and staff of this privately owned shop are the sweetest politest people I’ve ever encountered, they feel like family, and they also have great taste in music! 😁 . They have been feeding all the great musicians that work at Sunset Sound recording Studios for years !! ( it’s located across the road ) please support these fantastic people so they can re open their amazing coffee shop. Musicians NEED COFFEE and SANDWICHES !!! ... and I’m starving ! @javista
