👏🏼 this✨season 🤯 ➡️ for stats!!! 📈 📸: @matthewquine / @diamondleagueathletics Most consistent one, by FAR, of my career. 😌 15 competitions, overall average from each meet’s best mark - 62.79m. We talked about wanting the season average to be 62m. ✅ Top 10 competition average - 64.12m. Top 10 overall average (including multiple marks from the same series) - 64.42m. I love that these are within 30cm of each other. Removing my worst (Luzern) mark from my overall average gives me 63.19m, and throwing out both the worst and the best (Brussels) puts me at 62.81m. Very cool that those 3 versions of averages are within 40cm of each other, too. Russ gave me input after multiple meets that I took too many warm-up throws, but I finally listened after Monaco, and then my 3 best meets of the season happened. 6 of my top 10 marks came in round 6. Only 2 of them happened in preliminary rounds. Wild. 31 throws over 200 feet, and 37 over 60m. 🤯 I really wanted to have at least 100 two-hundred-foot throws in my career after seeing a list in like 2017 that I had 60-something so far. I think I probably made it 🤓. 10 of 15 meets with series averages over 60m. Best series average of 63.00m was NOT Brussels, but Zurich. All 6 of those DL Final throws were over 61m. I’ve never done that. The only other seasons in which I’ve thrown over 64m 3 or more times, I think, were 2010, 2015, and maybe 2019. An absolute dream. Russ and I talked a lot of the way home about all the reasons this season happened, but I need more space for that! So, so grateful for this year.
