On this day, 14 December 1992, @jay_smithstonian, Clive Duval, Paul Teten and I reached the summit of Mt Craddock (4650 m) in the Ellsworth Range of Antarctica. This was my first expedition to the range. Initially I was going to assist Mugs Stump as a guide. He was killed on crevasse collapse earlier in May. Jay and I followed through. We had a fine experience. I brought a small sachet of sand from Zion and left his name on the summit. (I probably broke the Antarctic Convention rules.) Time has moved the sand. Time has moved us.
