KATE BUSH and the BBC... A few days ago, while in a jungle in the remotest part of Jamaica , I got a message via my website from the BBC, marked URGENT, I thought it junk mail but read on ... “could we please interview you TODAY about Kate Bush” ... I immediately replied “I have very fond memories of working with Kate so it would be my pleasure... please note: I’m in a jungle so please call my phone no. as the internet is not great here” 5 mins later a posh chap from the BBC called and explaind: “It’s an Interview with one of our top news readers. We are not sure what the questions will be, but it’s LIVE and WORLD WIDE” !!! . I calmly said “OK” ... but no sound came out of my mouth, so I said “OK” again but somehow sounded like a squeaky mouse. 30 mins later, praying I would not fuck up and say something stupid, I apparently did it. Never done anything live to air. A completely surreal experience.
