A weekend of heavy rain brought #flashflooding to Kentucky--and The Salvation Army responded by deploying its mobile canteens to affected areas of the community. These mobile units are equipped to provide beverages, snacks, meals, and emotional and spiritual care to #firstresponders and #survivors. 500 flood cleanup kits were transported to Floyd County, #Kentucky to help with the cleanup efforts. Over 1,000 meals have been served to families and individuals who have been displaced due to the flooding. Additional units will be deployed to the area this coming week.
