Day one of powerlifting competition training whipped our entire ssa, and I loved it. Although Eric isn't doing a meet with me, he's officially my workout buddy. I love this for both of us. 😊 I crafted up a sadistic little workout with 5x5s on the squat and bench, plus some body weight, cable, and dumbbell work. I asked my homie Raul to spot us during our one max rep and baby, I have some work to do. He challenged us both to doing an isometric hold - my hold was at 230 lbs. By the end of the workout, I tapped out my pushups AMRAP at 12 reps, and I told @esnelldesign to go for a 30 sec forearm plank hold since his hand is still recovering from arthritis pain. I typically can put out 30 on a hard day and 50+ at the start of the workout. This is going to be a fun 8 weeks. Today, I have a few miles on the docket. I can't wait to see how strong I'll be in 5 to 8 weeks.
