Very excited to announce that next year the Musee des Arts Decoratifs @MadParis will present a large retrospective, showing around a hundred Iris van Herpen designs from the early years up until now. Designed as a sensorial exploration into the designer's universe, this retrospective, merging fashion, contemporary art, design, and science, revolves around eight themes that identify the very essence of her work. From micro to macro, the exhibition questions the place of the body in space, its relationship to clothing and its environment, and its future in a rapidly changing world. Iris van Herpen her designs will interact with a selection of art installations, videos, sketches, contemporary designs, and works from natural history. An evocation of her studio in Amsterdam and a space dedicated to her fashion shows to complete the tour. We will share more with you over the coming months.
