It was an honour to be on the Mohawk territory this summer. Also, known as The Kanien'keháka "People of the Flint Stone Place" or "People of the Flint Nation". Nation Skate Youth visited Tyendinaga, Akwesasne and Kahnawá:ke in between The 32nd Montreal First Peoples’ Festival “Présence Autochtone”. This being Nations first trip out east we were excited to be welcomed with a mini ramp built just for us to skate during Présence Autochtone thanks to @marc_tison_mtl_73 @realcity_veteran71 and Conor at @vanscanada .This was also the first time skateboarding was in the mix at the festival thanks to Page; we are already looking forward to next year. Our guests on the trip: @jaderskater @citygrom @brian_cardinal1 and @arielstagni thanks for giving your time to inspire the youth. Raj at @mehrathon thanks for supporting us on our mission to give out boards and spread the love of skateboarding. Thank you to everyone that supports us we cannot do this without you. Photos: @danmathieu ❤️ capturing the good times.
