Yesterday a new lens for my camera finally arrived (I've been eying it for years and waiting for it for weeks 😅). It feels exciting to make these kind of investments in my own creative practice, but it also feels scary. It's hard to know which purchases (big or small) will have impact. It can be hard to know whether I am making the "right" choice. But the truth is that our life is not a set path that we can lose if we make the wrong step. Our path is something that is forged through each decision we make. We are not following it, we are creating it as we go. Our choices show our values and our interests and those things add up to lead us in a direction toward what we care about. And right now I care about showing my process through video and letting myself dive deeper into that creative medium. So I invest in tools that will help me explore that interest with more ease.
