The only reason for instagram is to brag about your friends. And today is a day to brag! . It was 2015, I’d just moved to Los Angeles, had my face ripped off by a dog, and hadn’t fully laughed in almost a month, when three of my closest friends who’d been working on this script for years, finally get a win—a tiny bit of money to do a proof of concept for their pilot about kids in middle school. The budget didn’t allow for a photographer, so I snuck on set and took a few pics with my DSLR. I barely took any photos because watching them all work was so fun, and insane, and hilarious. A gym full of middle school kids, and at the center these two weirdos @mayaerskine and @annaryankonkle. I definitely ripped some stitches. Not just laughing, but smiling with pride. No one knew that we were witnessing the genesis of something so profound and brilliant. No one knew much of what to expect. But magic was made that day. The synergy of three incredible minds, three weird and wacky people, three truly devoted artists, three hardworking and determined folk. . It took 7ish years to get here. But goodness, has it been impressive to watch you all grow and make this crazy dream a reality. Love love love. Inspired inspired inspired. Proud proud proud. .
