Sunday night reflections.... If you’re not careful, the world will get a better version of you than your loved ones get. Don’t bring your loved ones crumbs after the world has feasted off your plate. A few weeks back my buddy @imryanray sent me these words that @kevinboseman posted and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since. They gutted me in that gentle confrontational way when accountability wakes you up, convicts you and stirs within you the desire to do better, be better and try harder. If I’m being honest... after a challenging season with work and almost two years straight of non stop hustling to keep our family business afloat through the setbacks our entire industry faced, I’m often guilty of only having bread crumbs left to offer to the people I love the most. Lucky for me, I’m blessed with @jamiesmoore (the most gracious wife) and kids who have loved me unconditionally through this season. But as we come to the end of one year, and look ahead to the next, one of the biggest changes I’m determined to make is to ensure that my family gets the best version of me, and more than just my leftover crumbs. So I’m heading into this holiday week by slowing down my work pace to give my family the most important thing I have to offer... intentional time together. After all... that’s where the true magic of this season is found.
