Blackberry Crown - part three 🍂 I think it’s finally finished. I’ve been working on this during the evenings and weekends and I worked out it has taken me just under 50 hours to make. Everything is handmade - all the leaves are cut, filed, polished and wire wrapped this time. The only soldering was on the headband which I’ve wrapped in some deep aubergine coloured peace silk ribbon. It’s the first time for months that I’ve been able to start thinking about where I would like my next collection to go and I’m feeling quite over excited about it now. I’ve been moving towards cutting all my own leaves and making my own metal flowers for some time now but for my next collection, I’m going to add some of my beloved intricate beadwork. The next collection will be quite small but I think this is the starting point for me. Always good to go for an enormous, complicated and totally over the top crown for the first design! It’s immediately gone on a little adventure today so I will look forward to seeing what it gets up to! Expect a little collection of seasonal designs made with recycled metals (there will be gold this time), some with colour, some without colour, intricate beadwork, leaves, leaves and more leaves and pieces you can put together to make your own individual look.
