ONE YEAR OF LAP OF THE MAP! 🕺🏼🎉 I didn’t even realise until it came up in our archives, that a year ago today we made our first post! We had already been travelling for 9 months but FINALLY gave in to making this account, and have never looked back. We just wish we had made it earlier! It’s crazy how much our mindset has changed after learning about all the opportunities that come with working in social media. Now that we’ve committed to working on the road, and pursing content creation, our “short holiday” has now inspired us to continue travelling all over the world. Don’t get me wrong, running a social media presence has taken up SO MUCH of our time (and mostly unpaid!), but we knew it would be worth it long term, and I’m so glad we stuck to it. If you’re thinking of starting something new, this is your sign to just commit! Want to start a blog? Do it! Want to make a travel account? Do it! Want to set up a new business? Do it! If you told us back in November 2021 that we would now have thousands of $$ worth of camera gear, 25K combined on Instagram and TT, and getting paid to work with a bunch of companies - we wouldn’t have believed ya! We definitely have a long way to go for this to be our full time gig, but our favourite part of this journey has been the travel community. Vanlife can *sometimes* be a very lonely lifestyle, so having this platform to connect with like-minded people in Australia has made such a huge difference in our trip.
