Picking just ten preview photos from Helena & Jordon’s two-day elopement was nearly impossible. I actually put this together and questioned if it felt too varied for one post, but I kinda love that it shows just how much you can do in two days in Alaska 🌧🌲🚁⛰🧊 !! We built out their timeline to focus on quality time with their closest family & friends on day one, where after a chill morning we met up with them in their cabin while they got ready & did their first look. Then we all drove out to a trailhead for their ceremony with plans to do a short hike into a glacial valley. I’ll be honest, as we pulled in I was running through my list of back up locations including a covered pavilion in the woods, or a drive-up lake to reduce the time spent out in the elements...because it was pouring rain and very windy. But we hopped out to discuss and everyone was dressed in their rain jackets, umbrellas in hand, barely batting an eye. They came ready for whatever Alaska wanted to give them! It ended up being such a beautiful ceremony and these portraits in the rain afterwards are some of my favorites ever. After their ceremony, they put on dry clothes and we did a short hike to a waterfall for them to read letters before a sweet romantic dinner with their family. That night they hung up their soaked wedding clothes and ran fans on them to dry them off in time for day two; a full afternoon with a private helicopter to explore all around the surrounding mountains! We literally just flew around and picked out spots to land from the air. Each place competed for our favorite landing, it was truly impossible to pick one. The fall colors were just beginning, and the glacier ice was as blue as the custom veil Helena’s mom made for her.
