Havin’ fun, doing hard things, and loving each other. Chasing the new challenges and then staying consistent. That sums up 2024.❤️‍🔥 This year the people around me led me to Jesus first, spoke life into me when I felt like I had none left to give, and kept me upright when I felt like I was going to fall. I learned that it’s okay to truly let people endure the hard seasons WITH me - letting me always have a seat at their table. I continuously wake up every day with an overflowing amount of gratitude and love for my people. This year was about them.🫶🏻 This year I found biblical community and a church I finally love and look forward to going to. I changed careers & dove head first into an industry that has thrown me the biggest learning curve and has been one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. And if that wasn’t enough, at that same time, I trained for and completed my first full marathon - something only the people around me believed I could do. Complacency just hasn’t been an option lately.😌 If this year hasn’t proved that WE CAN DO HARD THINGS, I don’t know what will. This truly was a “God did it.” kind of year. Thank you for making me a better Lakyn, 2024. Sure hope 2025 is just as good.
