There are days when I what I do “for work” perfectly dovetail with that that is my passion. Now, becoming an entrepreneur and founding my own company helped to stack that deck in my favor, but, I digress. My passion is empowering women to love who they are, today. Not waiting for a newer or better version to come tomorrow. In the early days of building my brand, I spent a lot of time dressed “messy.” I was usually elbow deep in a vat of oil, cutting up cocoa butter with a hot cleaver and crumbling blocks of shea butter. I didn’t feel pretty and, like I said, I looked messy. But, I was always clean and I always smelled good. I would tuck my nose inside my clothes and inhale and remind myself that despite what was visible, underneath it all, I was a Goddess. Now, there were days when I didn’t always believe that.
