Raw Walnut Brownies with Choc Frosting 🤎 A healthy spin on the original, these brownies are just as rich and gooey, plus have a decadent chocolate frosting! They can be whipped up in a flash and are sure to impress. Full recipe below 👇 Ingredients: 10 medjool dates, pitted 1⁄4 cup cacao powder 1 cup almonds 2 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp water 1⁄2 cup walnuts, chopped For the topping: 50g dark chocolate, melted 2 tbsp almond milk, cold, or milk of choice 2 tbsp walnuts Method: Line a small square baking tin (or loaf tin) with baking paper. Add the medjool dates to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until chopped. Add in the cacao powder, almonds, maple syrup, water and a pinch of sea salt. Process until the mixture forms a sticky dough. Add in the walnuts, and pulse a few times to incorporate them into the mixture. You want the walnuts to remain chunky to give the brownies some texture. Press the mixture into the lined baking tin and freeze for 1 hour, or until set. Once the brownies are set, make the chocolate frosting. Place the melted chocolate in a small bowl and whisk in the cold almond milk until smooth. Evenly spread the frosting on top of the brownies and then press the extra walnuts into the top. Slice into small squares and keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 1 month. Time to cook: 10 minutes, 1 hour freezer time Makes: 9-12 #jshealth #jshealthrecipe #recipes
