🇰🇷 purito - dermide balancing barrier balm
#PR / thank you @go.picky, @pickyrewards and @purito_official for these products in exchange for an honest review! #pickyreview #gopicky #puritopicky
this balm comes in a basic tube with a flip cap. 60ml so it’s travel friendly. i’ve thrown it into my backpack haphazardly and it doesn’t spill or open easily.
it has a slight plasticky smell which is typical for ceramide creams. it’s inoffensive and doesn’t linger.
it’s a thicker cream consistency that’s not too thick or tacky and doesn’t suffocate my skin. perfect for humid climates.
i’ve had 2 mid-level eczema flare ups in the past month so i got to test this out properly. it definitely stings on broken skin/open wounds but it’s tolerable. it did not help when my eczema patches were at its beginning stages - oozing and extremely inflamed. only worked when they have dried up a bit and are in the recovery stage. helps with flakey skin and prevents tewl adequately, left my skin feeling soft and moisturised after a good night’s sleep. you’ll need to apply a thicker layer if you’re experiencing dry weather conditions.
it’s also great as a daily moisturiser when my skin feels itchy or sensitive. it keeps my skin happy after an eczema flare up. i think it’s the ideal cream for me when i’m trying to keep my routine simple after flaring up.
unfortunately, it clogs my pores when i’m not being consistent with exfoliating/oil cleansing. it’s not toooo bad though, only a few on my butterfly zone and i got rid of them easily.
overall, definitely a handy item for eczema-prone skin or those with dry skin types. oily skin will benefit from this too. it’s not too thick as compared to other repairing balms. i really enjoyed this moisturiser and i can see myself repurchasing in the future.
