DIGITAL FLOWERS • Someone once described being in a television writers’ room as one long dinner party. It’s a great exchange of ideas and storytelling, with the excitement of a little creative problem solving on the side. But because of the length of time you spend together, the guest list determines if repeating the process day after day is something you look forward to...or something you loathe. Fortunately for me, I’ve had the pleasure of working with @cmwaddles for the last two seasons on GOOD GIRLS. Not only is she a pitch perfect comedy writer but she’s an excellent manager of people — creative, weird, sometimes insecure and stuck in our heads people at that. To find such a pairing in a black woman, who knows how to translate my every glance and under-the-breath grunt, is a true gift. I don’t take it for granted.
