It's the beginning of the year. State legislatures all over the country are going back into session. And as in years past they have begun to introduce more extreme policies targeting the civil rights of trans people. Every politician and pundit who last year said it was about "the children" this is what it has always been about, banning access to health care and bodily autonomy for all trans people. This is an attempt to erase trans people from existence, further stigmatize and marginalize us. It's exhausting. I'm so grateful to @theyoungturks for covering this story. I call on more media figures to inform the public about the legislative attacks on trans people and the lgbtq+ community in general. We are real people who exist. These policies affect our lives.
