Abydos & Hurghada It was about a 3 hour ride to Abydos from Luxor. Once we arrived to Abydos I felt like I was finally able to get a taste of how the locals actually were. It really made me appreciate how simple their quality of life was. We stayed in the one hotel that was there, walking distance to the Abydos Temple of SETI I! After staying one night out there and not being able to leave the hotel room, we drove off just under 5 hours to Hurghada and hit up Orange Bay Giftun Island in the Red Sea: or what I like to call Instagram Island 😹.
