🌟 20 plus years of using Botox and I'm still amazed at what it can do! By normalizing sweat and blood flow, this amazing thing happened that had nothing to do with wrinkles😁😁. Credit the authors in JAMA Derm below 👉A 23-year-old man with excessive sweating of the bilateral palms and 20 yellow nails presented to our institution’s dermatology department (Peking Union Medical College Hospital). The patient had excessive sweating without specific cause since age 4 years, and he had a 13-year history of chronic sinusitis. At age 18 years, all the fingernails and toenails of the patient progressively developed yellow to green discoloration, slow growth, thickening, cross-ridging, overcurvature, and onycholysis 👉Yellow nail syndrome (YNS) is a rare disease characterized by a triad of yellow nails, pulmonary manifestations, and lymphedema. The pathogenesis of YNS is not clear, and the treatment options are limited, with obscure therapeutic effects. In this article, we describe a patient with YNS and palmar primary hyperhidrosis (PHH) treated with botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) for whom improvements from treatment lasted for 6 years without recurrence. ⚕️⚕️ Li et al.
