THE PEOPLE & MOMENTS OF CAMP!🏕️❤️‍🔥📸🐻 Here’s a silly little video of the Lord’s sweetness right in front of me!!! (of course edited to the most iconic song of the summer for family camp). While this 3 minute video displays the moments of laughter and joyous servants of Christ- it’s nothing compared to this summer at whole. 3 months. 3 months, 24/7, day in and day out. That was the entirety of our summer. 3 months spent living in community and camaraderie with each other. 3 months saying YES to whatever God tells us to step into. 3 months of endless evangelism to reach every single child of God. 3 months of being thrown into the uncomfortable in order to grow in close relation with God. 3 months of long nights and early mornings so at least one camper can feel set free in the love of Christ. 3 months of victory over death and chains broken from sin!!!! 3 months of getting a front row seat to seeing the new citizens of Heaven. And after it being my second summer, I can and will still confidently say there is not one single thing that we did as a staff that changed these precious lives. We were used. Used as a vessel carrying the news of life and goodness. Used as messengers of the Gospel, even if it came through games of kajabe or pool parties. It doesn’t matter how or where because there is no such thing as wasted time in the Kingdom of God. So here’s to another summer where I am left in awe and wonder. Nothing compares to or could ever prepare you for this place- a true touch of Heaven. What a joy and honor it was to know you in such a tender and raw way on the mountain Jesus.
