The weekend weather forecast looks perfectly sunny but hot! Beat the heat and arrive early, roam the orchards, explore the sunflower meadow and grab a lobster roll. Afterwards, relax in the Winery Taproom where we have refreshing AC and plenty of cool drink offerings by @rosehillferments and our favorite NYS producers, as well as NA sparkling cider, @yesfolk kombucha, @casamaraclub amaro soda and our seasonal house-made shrubs. 🍑 PEACHES: Contender peaches will open for PYO beginning Friday at 9am. Contender is a medium-sized sweet and juicy freestone peach with red blushed skin and yellow flesh. We expect they will last into the weekend but it will depend on Friday's picking volume. Additional globe varieties ripen into September so stay tuned for updates. 🫐 BLUEBERRIES Elliot blueberries, the last of our 5 varieties, will re-open for picking on Thursday at 2pm. If the patch becomes picked over at some point this weekend, we plan to close it until berries sufficiently ripen. 🌻 SUNFLOWERS The sunflower meadow, an ideal backdrop for photos, re-opens for picking on Thursday at 2pm. In preparation, we will mow a path through the middle of the field, to enable folks to get deeper into the meadow, either for harvesting or portrait making.
