All the snuggles this morning 🐾 after receiving news that Hektor has an enlarged heart valve pushing up into his trachea. He’s okay and we are now on daily meds to manage it all. It has put a lot into perspective about aging, living, dying, loving. The little guy still has such sweet, puppy energy in a senior body. I think we both forget he’s almost 13. Born in NY, raised primarily in Cali, has travelled all over the country with me. Has insane fart smells, is a gluttonous little fuck and will do anything for food—ANYTHING. Loves sitting on your lap snoring, playing with stuffed animals and tearing their heads off to get to the squeaky plastic thing. He’s such a lover and one of the most well behaved dogs I’ve encountered ...I mean, I trained him ( lol)! So—here is to continuing to live our most authentic life!
