An offering for the digital altar ~ ~ Sphinx & Snakeskin is an extension of my home ~ family helped move furniture from my home there to give it cozy magic & a lived in feel since ‘home’ has been a place that has felt both hard for me to feel connected to in a tangible way this past year & a half and also the place I struggle with leaving ~ hermit energy abounds for me ~ so I wanted to expand on that & invite anyone that wants to, with the caveat of sincere kinship in their hearts to come in, under the banner of what we do just upstairs; BloodMilk. { @bloodmilk }. • This past Saturday we were able to re-open after being closed since early 2020 like so many others had to do, and I’m feeling so grateful that we’ve been able to reopen~ a space of gathering for liminal folks, where I’m hoping much inspiration & comfort can be shared & exchanged. I’m so excited for the future~ for everything that can and will happen within these doors, & on these worn out floors ~ including our first ‘event’ @handsomedevilspuppets ~ thank you Han for gathering us in the dark with your puppets & songs of strange hearts joining together .... • Thank you to everyone who traveled a long way to Philly to be here for this day, who braved the chilly weather and waited patiently, who crossed our threshold, who supported us by making a home for my/our jewels, for your presence, & for those of you who send your words of love and encouragement from afar. thank you especially to those who spoke to me and were patient with my oddness ...It all adds up to keep the winds in our sails & the fire in my weird little heart a flame... • Many many special thanks to all the members of Team BloodMilk & auxiliary Team BloodMilk ...There are more steady & sure hands than you realize on each piece of jewelry that leaves our doors, but less of us than you may think doing all manner of tasks to keep the planks of this barnacled little boat sturdy enough for these uncertain seas. 🖤 I’d never imagine I’d be here, out of the tar pits of these last years, but here we are & the doors are open ~ the liminal threshold awaits 🗝️
