There’s much to be discovered about Fred Sandback’s love affair with the work of 20th-century master Alberto Giacometti in our current show in Paris.⁣ ⁣ The first-ever exhibition to place the works of these two artists in dialogue, Giacometti / Sandback: L’Objet Invisible presents sculptures and works on paper that reveal the unique commonalities between their practices. As Guitemie Maldonado writes in an essay specially commissioned for the show, “The sharpness and thinness of Sandback’s lines make them as difficult to perceive as Giacometti’s figures, whose quivering edges makes them flutter or pulse. In the end, their works on paper might very well be the place where their practices come closest to each other.”⁣ ⁣ Plan your visit through September 24 and tap the link in bio to learn more.⁣ —⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Portraits: Alberto Giacometti painting in his atelier at Stampa, n.d. © Succession Alberto Giacometti/Adagp, Paris, 2022 - Cliché: Adagp images; Fred Sandback, n.d.
