Well, this one’s weird: Arizona senator Kyrsten Sinema is known for having a wardrobe as bizarre as her centrist voting record, with highlights including a denim vest, both pink and blue bobbed wigs, and a whole closet’s worth of deafeningly loud printed dresses. It appears, however, that not everyone is as disturbed by Sinema’s ModCloth-inspired wardrobe as we are. Slate writer Christina Cauterucci made a bold claim this week: She suspects that she bought a pair of Badgley Mischka heels from Sinema through Facebook Marketplace. Dubious, sure, but Cauterucci presented a very compelling case that Sinema is indeed the woman on the other end of this suspiciously on-brand resale account.
