Less than 6% of all dentists are Hispanic... less than 4% are Black. !!️!!️ This lack of representation leads to deep rooted inequities in dental care. It has always been my mission to make an impact and be the change I want to see. To not just talk about it but be about it... It is time to bridge the gap and CHANGE THE RATIO. I am so PROUD to be teaming up with @SmileDirectClub to highlight their Scholarship program with the NDA for minority dental students and professionals. • For a second year in a row, they are awarding 28 $7,500 scholarships to help students and professionals of color. • That’s $420,000 worth of scholarships in the last 2 years to help empower the next generation of dental professionals. • If we are to increase representation in the industry and reduce inequalities in care, actions need to start today – with programs like this from SmileDirectClub and the NDA.
