Flying home tomorrow after 25 days away with Andrew Bird and company, and immediately moving to a new house the day after tomorrow. Crazy times for us! So this is an appreciation post for this woman, my best friend and my partner for life, Christine Chester, who has held down the fort for these 3 plus weeks, all while packing and getting our kids ready to start school. She’s an amazing mother who keeps our energetic and hilarious trio of children healthy and happy- and who does an incredible job of leaving space for them to ask questions and explore their ideas and their world. And she’s an incredible partner to me, 13 years down the line now. She always has my back, has supported my often times insane if not untenable career as an independently employed musician and producer. And- she’s my favorite person. I’ve learned so much about how to be a better version of me from her. Love you CC
