Day 4:
Woke up early to catch a bus for a day trip to some of the top attractions outside the city - first stop, Oxford.
Oxford was so pretty, and the buildings were amazing! I was bummed because we didn’t have much time to explore, but u was able to get up into the tower of a church to get some great views of the city from above. Highly recommend finding a rooftop wherever you go because the views are always worthwhile when you’re traveling. I did as much sight seeing there as I could without missing the bus.
The second stop of the trip was seeing the Windsor Castle. Pretty impressive from the outside, it really was huge! I wasn’t expecting there to be such a bustling town surrounding it either, but there was a lot of shopping and touristy stuff right near it. Since I had already seen Buckingham Palace, this castle felt very similar on the inside, but it was still very cool to see.
The third stop of the trip was seeing Stonehenge. It was pretty fun to hear about all the various theories on it and the history about the sight from our tour guide. We had a good amount of time here so instead of taking the shuttle from the parking to the site I just walked and enjoyed the cloudy weather and the countryside vibes.
It was a lot to pack into one day, but I’m glad I did it because they were really fun sites to see and check off my England bucket list. 🇬🇧❤️
