Today I competed at THSWPA state championships and throughout the whole meet I stayed in first place. It was deadlift that my two biggest competitors got me and I ended up placing third. I got new pr’s in each event. Squat I got 500. Bench I got 290. Deadlift I got 345. I ended with a total of 1,135. I am so thankful that god gave me the opportunity and strength to be able to accomplish such amazing things. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would have fallen in love with this sport but here I am after 5 years accomplishing such amazing things and i am more in love with this sport than I have ever been. I want to thank my family for giving up so much of their time to be there for me and constantly supporting me with everything. Yalls love and support means the absolute world I love yall!! Thank you to my best friends and my amazing boyfriend for helping me push through so many obstacles throughout this season its been a rough year but yall helped me through so much. Also thank you for always reminding me that I am stronger than I give myself credit for. Thank you to my sweet gabby for always pushing me to be the best version of myself and for waking up early to go to the lifting practices you didn’t wanna go to with me(squat days...) but most of all for helping me find my way through this junior season you truly are one of my best friends!! Thank you to my beautiful Gwen you have been there for me since the beginning of my lifting journey. I am so happy that we have both grown to love this sport and that I was able to watch you improve on your lifts everyday. Im so grateful that you pushed me at every practice (even if i didn’t wanna do my extra workouts they helped in the end 😔) and for reminding me that when i step foot on that platform its me and the weight. Nothing else. I love you endlessly gwen thank you for everything love!! Although I wanted 1st place 3rd place is an improvement from bombing out at state last year. This is such an amazing way to end my junior season. I cant wait to improve and finish strong my senior year! 💪🥇🏋🏽‍♀️
