Regenerative Organic Certified farm @theecologycenter wears many hats: growers, educators, connectors, and community builders. They grow over 90 varieties of fruit, veggies, herbs, and flowers; collaborate with world-class chefs to show that ecological cooking can be delicious as it is nutritious; and provide the next generation with the ecological knowledge they need to create an abundant future for all. Going through the ROC certification process was helpful for their team to reflect on just how much incredible work they do, along with potential growth areas. "We thought we were doing well to support our staff but the ROC process helped us see outside of our bubble. We were proud to increase everyone's wages and will continue to drive towards a business model that puts dollars back into the producers' hands," reflects their founder, Evan Marks. Farmworker fairness is just one amazing element of the community work The Ecology Center does. From donating ROC produce to those facing food insecurity, to both accepting AND matching EBT payments at the Farm Stand through their Nourishing Neighbors program, The Ecology Center is improving access and increasing agency of community members to choose how they want to nourish themselves and their families. #FarmLikeTheWorldDependsOnIt
