Caroline & Kyle’s wedding in the woods in my very favorite little section of the Sierra Nevada🤗 These people are good people and this place feels like home. I shot this wedding in the midst of a roadtrip from LA to Yosemite to Tahoe to Mammoth and back home. I slept in my car and caravanned with friends, had a few (!!!) bear encounters, smelled like campfire for a week straight, and watched sunsets like this every night. I took a $3 camp shower the morning of this wedding and it felt like the absolute peak of luxury. It was far out of my typical wedding routine, but it felt like something I could get used to. Especially the lack of cell service 🐻 Caroline practiced scrambling these boulders in her wedding heels and was honestly more capable than I am in my climbing shoes. The two of them made the simple syrup for their bar themselves and prepared jars of honey from their bees as favors...just so their people knew how immensely they were loved. That spirit of love and adventure is more “wedding inspo” to me than decadent flowers and perfect table arrangements. More of this, all the time, please.
