This week In the garden... 1. The main summer border consisting of foxgloves, lupins, delphiniums, geraniums, cosmos, hostas, campanula, ferns, actaea, dahlia’s, rosemary, salvia, grasses , allium caeryleum, an acer and lavender. Also the palm trees flowers this time of year which is lovely and attracts hundreds of bees. 2. The back of the garden, mostly a area of dappled light throughout the day but a beautiful spot to between 7.30- 9am. The first place in the back garden to receive the sun. Old pot which is around 100 years old and vintage French fold up chair. 3. The potting area under the grape vine. What once was the dining area under the vines is now a potting table (out of the picture here behind the old wall) The small cold frame houses a selection of garden herbs, seedlings and my trusty tools. 4. The small pond/ water feature has had a upgrade from last year, in a small solar powered pump. Nice little gentle ripple and aerates the water. It seems to entertain the cats... 5&6. Decided to do less veg this year, last year I did loads and it soft of took over so this year it’s just our favourites tomatoes, runner beans and for the first time pumpkin. The aim to grow one for Winnie. Not quite Great Dixter but love my little London patch 🌱
