Here is a little BTS of the process behind the making of @sebastianyatra ‘s custom Oscars look by Esteban Cortazar @ecortazar ✨ We felt compelled and inspired by the beauty of Encanto and it’s theme song “Dos Oruguitas“ and right away came up with the idea of a midnight blue suit full of yellow butterflies, expressing the idea of magical realism. Over 90 butterflies were embroidered by hand in Medellin by the talented @amarpodesign , and then carefully placed by an amazing team of tailors in Milan, thank you to our dear friend @davidemarello ✨ Yellow butterflies have been a symbol of Colombia since Gabriel Garcia Marquez wrote his famous novel ”Cien Años de Soledad” and brought with it the Magical Realism that defines the beauty of Colombia and our culture 🇨🇴🦋✨ Crédits: @ecortazar Embroidery @amarpodesign Styling @danielagtzgzz Thanks to @davidemarello @pablo____pez @amber_yildiz @mambo.creatives ••• Acá un detrás de escenas del proceso detrás del traje de Sebastián Yatra para la ceremonia de los Oscars por Esteban Cortazar. Inspirado en la belleza de la película Encanto y la canción “Dos Oruguitas” inmediatamente tuvimos la idea de un traje azul medianoche adornado con mariposas amarillas, expresando la idea del realismo mágico. 🦋✨ en total fueron más de 90 mariposas bordadas a mano en Medellín por @amarpodesign y cosidas con cuidado por sastres en Milán gracias a nuestro querido amigo @davidemarello ✨
