It was 10 years ago in Brooklyn.. . . when I met these two gorgeous friends of mine. @hutchasaurusrex and I really bonded on St. Patrick’s Day at a @hotrabbitnyc party we threw in Williamsburg. @hutchasaurusrex has the kind of personality folks are just drawn too. I loved him immediately and was more than happy to give him the left over green Jell-O shots to share with friends when the night was ending. . . . @anitadolcevita was at @thewoodsbrooklyn when we were introduced. My response to social anxiety was to over compensate and initiate conversation with anyone in my immediate vicinity - I went right up to Anita. We talked shop about @dapperq and queer life in NYC. She was so easy to talk to and I felt like we had known each other for years. We decided to share an @uber uptown where we both lived on the UES. Our friendship was solidified when we got into the WRONG Uber, thought we were being kidnapped, and quickly turned the ride around to find the RIGHT Uber that would take us home. We laughed the whole way, and became close from that day on. She even shared @senka10 with me, so I got two amazing friends for the price of one. . . It’s these #NYCmoments that make it the best city in the world. The most epic place to find your tribe and form relationships with people that last decades, giving you lifelong friends you can then call family. . . @anitadolcevita thank you for bringing me into the @dapperq fold all those years ago, for giving me countless opportunities in our community. . . @anitadolcevita and I have traveled to Palm Springs together, where her nursing skills came in handy after I smashed my face walking into a glass door and then ate Cheetos for Thanksgiving dinner. She has blessed me with countless new friends, put me on stages and platforms, (@therealcurvemedia @gomagazineny #NYFW even included me in her Harper Collins book, coming soon). . . @hutchasaurusrex we have lived so many lives side by side, from when you and Lisa, @henriettahudson moved me into my first apartment in LA, to our rendezvous in Miami when I hosted @aquagirlfl - I can’t imagine a more perfect boyfriend. . . I love you guys, I love the history we’ve shared. I’m grateful.
