Suzanne Belperron first began experimenting with stylized leaves and meandering vines as a young student in the French countryside. Years later as a renowned jewelry designer in Paris, she returned to the wave motif of her youth, training the winding vine of her childhood studies around the hollows and contours of the neck and setting carved leaves in the bands of each curve. Reimagined in 2015, the necklace is crafted in 18k gray gold and set with seven carved fine blue chalcedony leaves, faceted and cabochon blue sapphires, and old-mine cut diamonds.
