✨90min Practice 😝✨
It’s been so long since I’ve been able to do a full 90 minute practice. It’s amazing how our bodies can adjust to certain physical demands, and how quickly we can adjust to less physical demands.
What I loved about this day’s practice, was how much I relied on my breath to get through the really challenging moments. I closed my eyes more in this class than any other class just to help me maintain my breath in those moments that were extremely challenging. And doing the intentional Ujjayi breath, slowing the breath down an evening it out, made it possible for me to hold postures longer than I have in a long time, and to keep up with the flow. I did occasionally come out of postures to give myself breaks, and did so humbly and happily.
I was able to laugh at myself falling while trying to transition from Bhujapidasana to Bakasana, crow pose, which is a transition that I have never accomplished smoothly. I hadn’t done it in so long, and the attempt alone just made me laugh.
I hope in your practice you find those moments of joy and appreciation during the challenges, and you are able to use tools that help you maintain your focus and meditation in movement.
Thank you @seangrayyoga for such a wonderful class, and reminding me of how much I need to create space for a full 90min practice.
Join me for 90 full minutes 😁 next Tuesday July 26th, 6pm @yogaworks_sm. I’ll be covering for Sean and it’s gonna be yummy!
PS... I don’t normally record myself during class, truthfully never before, so don’t do this in class! 😜
