They say “don’t blink or you’ll miss it”.. And there’s nothing more truer than this. I blinked and now my youngest is a big sister. I blinked, And the newborn days I dreaded so much disappeared. I blinked, And she said her first word. I blinked, and there I was teaching her how to walk. I blinked, It was her first birthday. I blinked, And somehow the terrible twos weren’t so terrible. I blinked, She turned 3, and had a favorite color, movie, animal… I blinked, And now she’s 4, holding her little sister. I’ll blink, And soon have to relive this all over again. The most beautiful yet heartbreaking thing anyone can ever experience.
