The old boys have shed their velvet and are now starting to bellow, testosterone is increasing & that only means one thing! The beginning of the rut! Many people will have their own version of when the rut officially starts but for me as soon as i hear the first bellow thats when i believe it starts. Others will say once the stags have a harem or once they begin to fight with force. Opinions will differ. But regardless, hearing those bellows is always exciting! 🦌
