RIP Brian Awitan, one of the real ones. Brian was one of the first people I met in this industry, when I was just starting out with Wooden Sleepers. I’ll always remember his sense of humor, good conversations, kindness and warmth. This shot was taken at Inspiration in Brooklyn back in 2015. Brian picked up a buckle back Brown’s Beach vest from me and put it right on. I always loved his unique and unexpected style. I’m grateful that our paths crossed and heartbroken for his friends and family. Awitan made me do it. 🕊️
