Documentation of "Berl-Berl: The Singing Swamp", my solo exhibition at @arosartmuseum, June 4- October 23. It is the first time I had the opportunity to play with light and subtle ambient shifts to such an extend. The world sings more subtle to the architecture here than it did in Berghain. Voices, vocal, sounds of amphibians and fungal networks moving across small corners, walls, up, under, around the architecture. Whispering, almost vanishing, then loud and all consuming. The light follows, with special semi reflective tones developed for every wall, as they take on changing colors of the virtual world; warm, cold, frosty, fiery. In the meantime, soft spoken voices emminate from a stair case as you descend three floors, into Berl-Berl from the entrance above. A network of 40 speakers and 7 computers and screens interconnect across three spaces, creating a soft changing environment of light and sound. I am really happy by the documentation and focus on the architecture by @david_stjernholm The show at ARoS is supported by @nycarlsbergfondet, #knudhøjgaardsfond, #aarhuusstiftstidendesfond and @statenskunstfond Curated by @ellendrudeskeellangvold Creation Credits: Creator and Artist: Jakob Kudsk Steensen Co-Producer: Elizabeth Kircher Sound Composer: @equalsonics Vocalization: @arca1000000 3D Development and Technology Design: Erratic Animist Studio Technical Manager: @wouterweynants Tech Consultant: @todernst Installation Producer: @familiari Spatial Sound Design: @lugh___ Berl-Berl is originally comissioned by @lightartspace and first curated by @emenderby
