Giacomo was one of the most important influences in my halfpipe snowboarding for the past 8 years. He was the one who told me I should put more time into learning new alleyoop tricks instead of chasing tricks that other riders are already doing. He was an important influence at the Olympics in Beijing for me to keep my mind calm but focused. Most importantly it was always the most fun on snowboard trips when he was around. Always looking for good food together as soon as the time on the mountain was over and always down to have a good and relaxing time. All together a great friend and a great human being. Sadly he won't be the coach of Swiss-Snowboard anymore. I would change it if I could. No one I've ever worked with understands better what your mind goes through at a contest than Giacomo.
