When I started Rejina Pyo, I wanted it to be an expression of what modern women’s lives are about, what we go through, want and need.⁣ ⁣ This collection, I wanted to explore ‘Love and Work’, which Freud said are "the cornerstones of our humanness". After having my second baby, I was pulled between two directions, wanting to spend time with my baby but also continue what I enjoy and my work.⁣ ⁣ The guilt of not being there for loved ones but also desire for my work was so strong and I see a lot of women share this ‘Love and Work’ push and pull relationship. I wanted to gather my inspiring community of women together and bring this challenge we face day to day to the surface, to acknowledge them, how women should look and behave, breaking the unspoken rules and expectations. I want women to feel courageous and liberated so we can allow ourselves to be who we are comfortably and celebrate it together.⁣ ⁣ I am grateful that I could create this moment and share it.⁣ ⁣ Thank you everyone who worked so hard for this show, also everyone being there to witness the spirit of it and understanding what we go through.
