“Irregular Girl is leading the fight for trans utopia” ⚔️ This morning @imirregulargirl and I are on the cover of The @chicago_reader Summer Theater and Arts Preview Issue. I haven’t quite processed this yet but I know these things to be true: Irregular’s words in this piece are a perfect summation of what she stands for. She’s as concerned with channeling love into the day to day lives of her community and family as she is with architecting a trans-futuristic utopia amidst a presently hostile landscape. She’s at once a supernaturally gargantuan warrior artist as well as a young woman living her life in the city with all the humanity that entails. She is a hero of mine. She is an artist to whom I hope I can continue to be a utensil. She is my friend. I love you Regina.
