“take it slow” 🤎😌⁣ ⁣ As someone with anxiety and a tendencies to give in to workaholic tendencies, this is a a reminder I need daily⁣ ⁣ With world mental health day being a couple of days ago, it feels fitting to reflect on my journey with anxiety, mental health and slow living as a result of both ⁣ ⁣ I used to be the girl who couldn’t slow down because is so desperately tied my worth too my productivity - whether in the classroom, at work or in the gym⁣ ⁣ MORE was always better in my opinion⁣ ⁣ But after dedicating years to working on my mental health and sitting with myself in hard moments, I’ve realized life isn’t meant to be sprinted through⁣ ⁣ My worth is steadfast whether I work for 12 hours a day or honor my body and rest, and so is yours ok? 🌞⁣ ⁣ Take it slow, be present, root down in gratitude, love yourself fully, hug your people, take naps, aimlessly wander the streets of a new city, pause. ⁣ ⁣ There’s always more that could be done, but maybe living right here right now, slowly, matters more xo ⁣ ⁣ thank you @ephemeraltattoo for tattooing this beautiful reminder for me!!
