On this liminal bridge between years we offer you a collection of sea jewels & with the prayers of collective kinship & talismanic vessels of protection & transformation in a time of great sea-change~ some made with stars from 10 years ago ~ some made from ancient shells collected as they roiled against the legs of @jdraven & I as we stood in our clothing in the lip of the sea ~ other parts collaged together in ceremony & in a kinship of grief with @deadphonedev in our new studio for 2 housed at the back of @sphinxandsnakeskin with @jenvonhaunt or @mkaioh08 flitting about like moths coming upstairs & down ~ while the rest of our amazing team works with their hands & hearts above us like a blazing constellation. • This is a collection about swimming ashore after you’ve drowned- about what it’s like to have your heart on a pyre and to have a loved one pluck it out at their peril for safekeeping ~ we keep each other safe and dry- we stay with each other despite the trouble on the shoreline ~ • This is a collection about protection via mirrors ~ about seeing behind you at the ‘unseen world’ ~ about listening more carefully to yourself while in your shell & to others ~ looking more closely at yourself & witnessing others ~ like the Hermit in their cave the shell is an invitation to observe and reflect ~ as well as to protect & deflect.
